A small studio for large weather.
Stormborne started as a Sunday-afternoon project between three friends who had spent too long inside agencies that confused activity with progress. Six years later we are a senior team of designers, engineers, and AI builders that works the way we wished agencies had worked when we were inside them.
The bet behind the name.
Stormborne is named after the people who do their best work when conditions get loud. New competitors. A founder pivot. A platform rewrite three weeks before launch. Most of our favourite projects started in a storm. We don’t romanticise it — we just plan for it.
Four
principles.
We don’t have a 40-page culture deck. We have four ideas we measure ourselves against, every week. If you ever feel them slipping, we want you to call it out.
- 01
Calm under pressure
Tight deadlines and loud problems. We move quickly because we plan honestly.
- 02
Make it measurable
Every project has a metric we agree on at week one. We point at it at the end.
- 03
Ship, then sharpen
Working software beats perfect plans. We build in increments your team can use this week.
- 04
Own the boring parts
Observability, docs, handover, evals. The unsexy work is where projects live or die.
Things we do that
we like.
- Four-day weeks for the team.Fridays are for reading, building side projects, and not being on calls.
- We pay for the good tools.Figma seats, Linear, Anthropic, Vercel Pro, decent monitors, a real chair.
- A no-pitch policy. We don’t spec work. If we’re going to think about your problem, you’re paying us to do it properly.
- A retro after every project. What worked, what didn’t, what we’ll do differently next time. Internal and shared with you.
You have a storm
to weather.
We were born for this.
